Smart Green Upgrade 8 Intelligent RTG Cranes Delivered

Green and intelligent transformation continues to accelerate. Recently, SANY delivered 8 units of next-generation intelligent RTG cranes to Xiamen Port, marking another solid step toward a five-star green and smart terminal upgrade.

These new RTG cranes are built for mainstream port operations, featuring a height of over 26 meters, a 14-meter span width, and a rated lifting capacity of 41 tons. The standard layout of 6 container rows plus 1 truck lane ensures both high yard efficiency and smooth vehicle movement.

Sustainability is at the core. The cranes adopt a lithium battery + grid power system, completely eliminating reliance on diesel engines. In addition, all small mechanisms are designed oil-free, achieving zero emissions, zero pollution, and significantly reducing environmental impact.

On the intelligent side, the cranes support remote control and semi-autonomous operations. Most loading and unloading tasks can be completed automatically, with human intervention only at key points. One operator can manage multiple machines remotely, improving efficiency while enhancing safety in port operations.

With these 8 new units, the terminal’s intelligent RTG fleet increases significantly, further boosting yard productivity and accelerating the transition toward a fully smart port system.
